Students will develop and implement effective study habits, engage and succeed in a rigorous course of study and participate in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum. The students will be equipped to enroll in a four-year university. Students will participate in tutorials, learn organizational skills, and develop reading, writing, technology and presentation skills using the AVID curriculum.
Tutorial Objective: Students will learn effective study habits to succeed in rigorous classes.
Presentation/Technology Objective: Students will develop skills to convey knowledge using various media.
Organization Objective: Students will develop life organizational skills and organized note taking skills.
Reading/Writing Objective: Students will develop and implement reading/writing skills through expository writing, short answer writing, books groups, vocabulary development and college level writing practice.
